If you love animals, local bands, and live music, then this is the event for you! On September 12 local band Untamed is holding their first annual Voices for the Voiceless music festival at High Note Bar and Grill in Edmonton.
Through live music and community spirit, Untamed is helping raise awareness for Farm Animal Rescue and Rehoming Movement (FARRM) and the work they do providing lifelong sanctuary to surrendered farm animals who have experienced abuse, neglect, and abandonment. With a strong focus on animals with special needs, FARRM has over the past 13 years of operation become widely relied on by the community as a resource to intake and provide permanent care for animals with complicated medical and mobility needs. Not only does FARRM give these animals a second chance, but they also inspire others to help create a more ethical and compassionate world. Voices for the Voiceless aims to bring like-minded people together through music, kindness, and a shared love of animals.
The lineup, in no particular order, includes Untamed, Easy Street, Odd 1 Out, Tin Fish, Jessie Rose Nelson, Bobblehead Joe, Carson Cole and the Hailstones, and Mitch Gauvreau. In addition to a full day of live music there will be door prizes, a silent auction, community sponsors, and FARRM merchandise available throughout the event.
Doors open at 11am, with the first band taking the stage at 1pm. Tickets are available for a minimum $10 donation and can also be purchased at the venue on the day.
