About:  Ferdinand was purchased from an auction as a baby to be a pet pig. Ferdinand only lived in a trailer park in Stony Plain for 24 hours before the owners were told they could not keep him as a pet on their property. Ferdinand arrived at FARRM very sick, as he was so little that he should have still been on his mother's milk.

 

Since his arrival, Ferdinand has recovered and grown into a very handsome and sweet boy who acts as the dad in our pig family herd. During hoof trimming and vaccines Ferdinand watches over everyone and tries his best to keep them all safe. He is a very senior pig and has been with us over a decade.​​
