About: Chuck was surrendered by his owner who decided they could no longer care for him anymore. He was uncastrated, which resulted in very bad behavior! Uncastrated equines are typically very wild and aggressive which resonated quite well with Chuck. Chuck came from a home with no other equines and loved to chase and bite humans.
At some point he had been frostbitten and lost his ear tips and some of his tail. He also has a very wonky back leg that the vet suspects he was born with. Chuck was welcomed into our herd but struggled to settle in. Even after his castration, it took months for his hormone levels to mellow out and channel more calm behavior. He also struggled to socialize with his herd, as he had never been around other donkeys before.
Chuck has since integrated into our herd quite well! He is a sweet boy who has a lot of love to give and is still learning the best way to give it! Chuck spends his days strolling around the yard, dreaming about dinner time.
