About: Rosie arrived at FARRM as a very special transfer from another local rescue. Rosie’s loving owner had recently passed away and their dying wish was that Rosie be loved and cared for the rest of her days. 

​

As Rosie had spent her entire life in the quiet peace of her home, the passing of her owner and being uprooted from her home of over 10+ years was very traumatic and stressful. Rosie cycled through three different foster homes before coming into our care. Due to her anxiety, she was attacking and hurting all animals and people that came near her. Unable to even feed her, change her litter, or provide her basic needs and a good quality of life, FARRM was contacted as a last ditch effort before seriously considering humane euthanasia.  Dealing with severe aggression and behavioral issues is nothing new to us, so we welcomed Miss Rosie with open arms, ready to work with her to provide her with the life she deserves.

Since arriving at FARRM, we are thrilled to announce that Rosie has made huge strides of progress! Still unable to touch or pet her, Rosie has successfully become accustomed to our operator, a few volunteers, and even some of the other kitties! Just in the short amount of time with us, we are able to effectively clean her space, provide her with food and calming supplements, and give her treats while she tolerates our encouraging cheers. We will continue to work with Rosie to wherever Rosie is comfortable meeting us. We are honored to be able to provide a safe space for her to live on her own terms, grieve the loss of her owner, and come into her own whenever she feels ready.
