About: Eloise came to us as a baby from a working farm that we receive many severely neglected and sick sheep from. The agricultural animal laws in Alberta are very bleak; agricultural animals are entitled to food, water, shelter, and not much else. Despite our attempts to report this working farm that we receive many sick and dying sheep from, the animal laws in Alberta deem them to be following procedures; culling or surrendering the sick and dying sheep.
Eloise arrived very tiny, sick, and malnourished, as she was set to be culled. Many farmers err on the side of culling straight away, rather than seeing a vet, as culling is deemed more cost effective and efficient. Thankfully, a concerned citizen stepped in and did as much as they could to help facilitate rescue.

Eloise didn't have any major health concerns, other than the fact that she was very small and malnourished. Eloise was a runt and was most likely not receiving proper access to food and water.
When Eloise arrived, she was placed in quarantine with another sheep we had recently taken in, named Amelia. Amelia is shy, introverted, and quite fearful of people. Eloise and Amelia have bonded deeply. Eloise is an absolute doll. She is sweet, eccentric, and hilarious. She has a quirky personality where is she always on the go and always looking for the next adventure. She loves running, jumping in the air, climbing, and doing complicated and performative stunts for her peers. Eloise spends her days running as fast as she can, sleeping in the sun with Amelia, and embarking on new adventures!
