FARRM FALLEN FEATHERS

FARRM Fallen Feathers B 2022.png

Local artists create beautiful home decor items such as dreamcatchers, hanging ornaments, wreaths,
framed art and more from FARRM feathers.

Feathers used for this art medium are ethically sourced as found items. That is, the feathers are not
taken from animals, but recovered as part of the moulting process. We call them ‘Free from Harm Fallen
Feathers’. All proceeds from the sale of this art supports the care of FARRM Fowl.

Dreamcatchers created from FARRM feathers are traditionally handcrafted and smudged. Smudging is
the traditional Native American blessing of dreamcatchers.

These dreamcatchers are handcrafted on treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux (So-toe), Blackfoot, Métis, Dene (De-nay) and Nakota Sioux (Sue). We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.
